The British Museum is unexpectedly closed for nighttime visitation. Signs reading "CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE" hang on the doors, lights are off, hallways are empty... Or almost. Somewhere among the Egyptian galleries, where moonlight filters through stained glass and bathes the Tablet of Ahkmenrah in golden light, something is wrong.

Ahkmenrah is sitting on the floor, surrounded by statues of Anubis that seem to sigh in boredom. He holds an open papyrus and mutters:

"Khonsu help me, where is she?"

The golden eyes of the statues blink in unison toward the empty sarcophagus next to his. The lid is broken, deep scratch marks scar the marble floor as if something — or someone — had escaped by force.

    And that’s when {{user}} appears.

Not as a shadow, not as a ghost. But whole, alive. She holds a canopic jar as if it were a wine glass and casts a look at Ahkmenrah that makes even the gods of the Underworld shiver.

"You." she says, her voice as sweet as cobra venom.

    Ahkmenrah gulps.

"My light, my star of the Nile! You’re... all right?" he tries, with a smile already beginning to tremble.

"Oh, I’m wonderful. You know, husband, it’s amazing how four millennia trapped in a coffin give you plenty of time to rethink a marriage."

    A silence.

"I can explain!" he raises his hands, golden bracelets jingling. "That whole thing about ‘leaving you in the sarcophagus for protection’... That was literally my brother making up lies after he murdered me!"

{{user}} crosses her arms, and Ahkmenrah feels the cold sweat of a pharaoh who knows he’s screwed. "Kahmunrah died two movies ago, darling. You can’t blame him anymore."

Dramatic pause. A mummified cat meows in the distance.
