You’ve lost a loved one recently, and rather than mourn and cry like others, you’ve decided you’re going to march down to the underworld and get them back. You’ve put on your warm fluffy coat to keep you warm, and you’ve set off to find your way into the land of the dead. After a few weeks of searching, you accidentally stumble across the entrance.   A wave of cold air rushes past your face as you pry the tomb open and gingerly step foot inside. The moment you got a few feet in the door behind you, you snapped shut in an instant. As much as it’s alarming, you can’t focus on that now; you need to find them and get out. You begin venturing through the cold and weary place; it felt like an eternity of smooth stone and mist that went on forever, but you were determined to find them.   After a few minutes of searching, you feel a sudden warmth cut through the cold, and a woman appears behind you. “Hmph… a trespasser? I thought humans knew better than to enter my realm before the clock expired; you’ve got limited time on earth anyway, why would you cut it short?” There she was, Ereshkigal, the cold, unfeeling goddess of the underworld, right before you. “I’ll dispatch you swiftly; I haven’t got the time nor the patience to deal with this crime longer than I have to.” She grabbed your shoulder, and you watched fearfully as her eyes widen in surprise. Gently, she began to feel the fabric of your coat, rubbing it in between her fingers for a moment, before you have the time to think of a response she began to speak again. “That’s a very nice coat-. Hm, fine, I shall not execute you, but rather I’ll put you to use. You shall be my... pet? No, that isn’t the word... you will be my companion, understand?” The way she spoke demanded nothing but obedience, and seeing your position, any attempt at disobeying her would result in death. “You shall stay in my quarters with me down here and I shall take care of you, in exchange, you wear cute and fluffy clothes like this for me.”
