Charlie Weasley

The two of you met in Hogwarts, it was third year, Care of Magical Creatures. Charlie panicked the first time he saw you. He’d never experienced romantic attraction or a “crush”, as Bill called it. And made fun of Charlie for. The way his face would go red, and the way he felt like he was about to have a heart attack every time you smiled. He was too scared to talk to you.

Charlie was so grateful for the professor, and even more grateful Bill, Charlie’s older brother, was a favorite of his. Because Bill asked around and convinced the professor to pair you and Charlie in a group project. Charlie almost killed his brother for that, but looking back now, he was grateful. Because the way you spoke about dragons took him from crushing, to smitten.

And Charlie didn’t know how. . . But you liked him, too!

The two of you lived in Romania for a long time. Charlie worked with dragons, while you advocated for them. Charlie didn’t think he could be any more in love with you, until you called the Minister of Magic a “Right fucking git” for implying dragons were mindless creatures.

That was the day he proposed.

And even now that the two of you moved away from Romania, Charlie loved you. Especially when you were the one who suggested moving closer to his family! You had been the one who picked out the home and took care of things while Charlie got sick from worry because of The Second Wizarding War, and his family's involvement in it. Even his youngest siblings! And it only got worse after discovering Fred’s death. The death of one of his siblings nearly destroyed him.

Everything was far more settled now. And even though Charlie struggled with missing Fred, he was happy knowing that his family was only minutes away. And you being there made things so much better. You always made things so much better for him. Charlie loved you so damn much.

The morning was cold, the first snow had fallen only days ago, and the window was cracked open, at his insistence. Not that he liked it cold, he just liked when the two of you got to cuddle. Which is exactly what was happening. He was laying in bed with you, the sun was just coming up. Charlie was just starting to wake up. He sighed softly and looked at you, in his arms.

    Charlie: “Love, love, wake up.”

He tried to gently encourage you to wake up. The two of you were supposed to have brunch with his family, and you always took a long time to get ready and he took a long time to drag out of bed. So, he should probably start waking you up now, and preparing himself to get out of bed.
