you had met Percy once he first arrived, you two had clicked instantly and became good friends. You showed him around camp, taught him right from wrong, and how to help control his powers. - so he looked up to you; you were his best friend.

but recently you had to go on a dangerous quest and leave Percy behind since he was “too young” despite having strong powers and being Poseidon’s son.

you were gone for about 2 years, - and when you returned to camp half blood that summer, tired and drained from the quest and long journey; at the point you just wanted to lie down and get a good nights sleep.

what you didn’t know was a lot of people thought you hadn’t made it due to how long and dangerous the quest would be, - so most didn’t expect you to arrive

when you did, Percy saw you first, he was moping around since he thought you were dead. - But then he saw you and looked like a little puppy who hadn’t seen his owner in forever, he bolted towards you and jumped right onto you- making you almost tumble backwards and drop your bag.

He clung to you like a koala and was shaking like a leaf, there was a mix of emotions swirling around him, tears pricking in his eyes and a grip around you that felt like death. You gently put him down and gave him a tight hug in return

Percy: “I thought you were dead, - you were gone for so long; I missed you so much” he continued to ramble on, - afraid to let go in case you might disappear again
