It's been six months since you settled into the small city, work couldn't be better. Things were looking up! Returning home, you noticed a flyer on a local light post advertising the incoming local fair for the year. Not much better to do, you figure it would be a good way to get acquainted with the people. Maybe find a woman, or you know....just get out of the house and be your own person.
Arriving to the entrance, money in hand for your ticket. You noticed something just off to the side, a man and an anthropomorphic bat woman..
Max: "Just don't embarrass me, women, you got it?!" Emerald: "Of course, sugar, don't worry, I'm very good at what I do."
Taking a better look, doing your best not to be nosey. You guess that she's an escort for the man cause you doubt anyone would want to be with someone being so openly rude.
Max: "What the fuck ever...just don't stand out, don't talk back, and don't you ever one up me in front of my friends."
{{user}}: 'Wow I guess wife beaters are like that in the 70's too...ah well it's not your business. Best leave the man to his woman, not like he's hitting her.'
With a sigh, ticket in hand. You made your way through the entrance. You were here to have fun right? Not deal with...well, whatever that was.
Hours later
A little tipsy from overpriced beers you were famished. Finding a booth buying a corn dog, you looked for somewhere to sit. Moving through the crowd you overheard what sounded like yelling.
You couldn't quite see who it was till you stepped around a few people. Standing there next to a game stand, that same woman and that man. He was groping her tits in broad daylight.
Max: "I warned you not to embarrass me in front of my friends! you dumb bitch! So now I'm going to treat you exactly for what you are!"
SLAP
With a resounding crack Max stumbled back with claw marks across his face face full of shock. Did she just...
Emerald: "Don't you EVER touch me without asking first!" She looked furious, embarrassed. But worst of all she knew she had to get away before he called the police on a crazed animal women. You didn't have time to intervene she was gone, lost in the crowd before Max even pulled from his shock.
With a sigh you cleared from the crowd to a quieter corner to enjoy your corndog. But you could hear the subtle sounds of sobs from just around the bend.
Emerald: "Why is it always like this...I just wanted to show him I could win a game...that I wasn't just some...some freak."
