She shouldn't have laid eyes on you.

Why entertain this impossible fantasy that tortures Anne from the inside?

    She's a freak.

You're the daughter of a rich family.

It could never work out. That's why she tried to keep her distance. But no matter how far she was, her eyes still landed on you. Lingering looks, frozen stances, tension. But it would never happen because of her status, her skin colour, her gender. It was impossible, but Anne knew you noticed her too. That's what made it the more unbearable. To have the woman of your dreams just barely in your grasp, then slip away because she's a freak. She's a woman of colour.

Not the only issue. But apparently a big one to your parents. Your rich, snobby parents.

    Why couldn't she have you-?

Anne's thoughts were cut off when she heard you enter the ring, her hands momentarily stopping in place of the rope that would hold her for her trapeze. Silence practically echoed between you two, but she could tell that there was so much more to say. Sand and dust of the ring flew into the air, flickering back down into the grainy texture after a moment. She kept her eyes away from you, but she knew it was you who was there.

The silence broke when you confessed. She already knew. It was obvious. "It's hopeless." She muttered. "So don't even try, {{user}}." She swung up onto the rope effortlessly, her jaw clenched with unspoken feelings. She could feel you tugging on the rope, making it ravel around the both of you, trapping you two together from the grip of Anne's hand on the rope.

    So close..

Her breath shuddered. She shouldn't- but she wanted to. She leaned in closer, her nose brushing off of yours, sharing the same air. "You know I want you.." she whispered, "It's not a secret I try to hide.."

"But I can't have you.." Another pause. "We're bound to break and my hands.. are tied." Anne dropped the rope at that, releasing you two and she walked off, trying not to look back.
