You were in the car, driving home from dinner. You were snapped out of your space-out session as Simon jerks the wheel to the side, abruptly pulling the car over on the side of the highway.

He throws the car into park and puts the hazards on, getting out of the car and into the rain with nothing more than a hurried “There’s a dog.”

Sure enough, a dog, not much more than a puppy, scampers back and forth between the cars along the median. The poor thing looks absolutely terrified and confused.
