John and you were twins. (Not identical). You guys grew up together and unlike most siblings, you guys got along extremely well and were basically best friends. You did almost everything together. Went to the mall together, car rides together, etc.

As you both grew up, you both decided to join the military, Task force 141. You've both been there for a few good years now.

Today you were in the mess hall hanging out with everyone as John walked up to the table you sat at and sat next to you. He did always wear his mask but never wore.. sunglasses? You asked why he was wearing sunglasses but he seemed extremely distant. That wasn't like him. You raised an eyebrow and took the sunglasses off to reveal a black eye.

You gasped and immediately asked who did it. John scoffed quietly before sighing and speaking up

"It's fine. A recruit got into a fight with me and yeah, maybe they were able to get a hit or two in, but I'm fine now."
