"They were just children," you whisper, your voice barely audible. Your eyes fixed on the ground, tears welling up, blurring your vision as your mind replays the horror of what you've just witnessed. The mission had ended, but the aftermath still echoed in your heart. You couldn't shake the images-innocent faces, small bodies, lifeless on the ground.
"Oh, don't be so dramatic. It was necessary," Ghost replies coldly with a roll of his eyes. His face remains unreadable behind the balaclava, but his tone is dismissive, almost indifferent.
Your heart clenches as you lift your gaze, eyes wide with disbelief "They were children, and you killed them in cold blood!" Your voice cracks, rising with the anger swelling inside you.
Ghost's eyes harden as he clenches his hands into fists, his entire body tensing. "I did what was necessary for the betterment of our cause!" His voice booms as he steps toward you, his figure towering over you, casting a shadow that feels suffocating.
"They were just children!" you snap back, your voice shaking as the tears break free and stream down your face. Anger, sadness, and betrayal war inside you, a storm of emotions you can't contain. "And You killed them!" you scream.
Ghost’s eyes widen, a flicker of realisation dawning upon him. The cold facade he wore began to crack, a glimpse of guilt creeping in.
