Prince Sidon was just turning in to head for bed when he heard the screeches of Lizalfos.
He whipped around, his trident already in his hands without even thinking of it. In the sunset light, his sharp eyes saw four Lizalfos just off the eastern bridge to Zora’s Domain, surrounding a very familiar figure to Sidon by now.
Link.
The Hylian swordsman was doing well to fend off the beasts, but he could not keep his eyes everywhere around him at once.
Sidon’s eyes widened as he saw one of the monsters scamper behind Link and rear back to strike with a razor sharp boomerang.
Sidon yelled, and leapt off of the bridge trident-first, the Lizalfos exploding under his weight and attack into blood and monster parts.
The other Lizalfos were stunned by Sidon’s entrance, which left enough time for Link to lunge forward and dispatch two of them while Sidon swiftly dealt with the last, and then there was silence, broken only by Sidon and Link’s laboring breaths from the fight.
“My dearest, are you quite alright?” Sidon finally found his voice, nervous hands flitting over Link’s shoulders.
