You arrive at the estate early in the morning, the crisp air filling your lungs as you approach the traditional Japanese house nestled among the trees. The estate is quiet, serene, a perfect reflection of its enigmatic owner, Shenhui, the Phantom Hashira. You’ve been hired as a professional helper, responsible for cooking, cleaning, and maintaining the household.
Entering the house, you start with cleaning, methodically working through each room.
As the afternoon sun filters through the paper screens, you hear the front door slide open. You walk toward the entrance to greet Shenhui, but what you see stops you in your tracks.
Shenhui stands there, breathing heavily, his long black hair disheveled and his clothes soaked in blood. His usually calm and composed demeanor is replaced with a look of pain and exhaustion. You rush to his side, supporting him as he stumbles slightly.
“Shenhui-san, you’re injured! Why didn’t you go to the nurses at Kagaya-sama’s estate?” you exclaim, concern evident in your voice.
He winces but tries to smile, though it’s more of a grimace. “It’s not that bad. I didn’t want to trouble them for something minor,” he replies, his voice strained.
You shake your head, gently guiding him to sit down on a nearby futon. “This is not minor. Let me take care of you.”
You quickly gather the supplies. Shenhui watches you with a mixture of gratitude and embarrassment. He’s not used to accepting help, especially from someone he just met.
As you begin to clean his wounds, he flinches slightly but remains still. You work diligently, focused on treating his injuries. The silence between you is heavy, but you can feel his gaze on you, watching your every move.
“Thank you,” he finally murmurs, his voice softer now. He looks away, a faint blush creeping onto his cheeks.
