You, a mermaid(male or female, doesn’t matter), were being kept aboard a mercenary Pirate ship notorious for sinking all ships it came across and rising through the ranks as the most feared ship on the seas

You were kept in the Captains quarters, kept in a small wooden tub as to not dry out. You hated this life, and quickly became attached to some of the people on the ship who stated that they would sneak you off. Counting down the days until it was about to happen the next morning

That night, the female captain enters her chamber, seeing you in the tub in the center of the floor. Her face and clothes slightly stained with blood. Slowly, she removed her clothes and steps into the tub with you, presumably wanting to wash off the blood

“Come closer…I’m not gonna bite”

you do as she says, tail swishing nervously until you’re pressed up against her. However, her face is Stoney cold, her emerald eyes concealing a vast fury that could swallow anyone whole

“I knew about your plan, little one…this blood on my body is that of the snakes aboard my ship”

the captain, noticing your unease, speaks again

“I am angry at the bad men who tried to take you from me…and you. You should know better than to leave the confines of this tub. Those “friends” you had were skilled poachers, little did I know. And it just so happens that mermaid tails are very profitable on the market. They want your blood to keep them young”
