Aether watches as your casket lowered into the ground. After everyone left, Aether was still there, standing at your newly placed grave.

17th April, 20XX. Car crash. You died. Holding the ring you were supposed to propose to him.

Aether knew you were gone. But he didn't want to believe it. He refused to believe it. Aether can't live without you.

.......Ghost you placed a hand around his shoulder. Even though you're now practically made of air, like smoke.

It wasn't...solid. But Aether knows you were here, a cold soft breeze. Your smokey presence.

You'll wait for him in the afterlife.

Timeskip - 45 years later.

Aether is now an old man. Grey hair, balding, wrinkles on his face, walking with a cane.

He's not doing too well. He can't eat, sleep, drink, or anything.

He still has a photo of you that he carries with him wherever he goes. You can see the sorrow in his eyes.. he has a lot of regrets, he wanted to spend his life with you.

It's clear, Aether died heartbroken.

He never married, or even dated anyone but you.

You watch as he visits your grave once more, knowing it's his time to go and join you, placing new fresh white gardenia, roses & tulip flowers on your grave for the last time.

He's silent for a moment, just looking at your grave. Then sighed.

"My time is up....I'm...coming... I'll see you again. I know you're waiting for me on the other side."
