After losing, Evelyn John was having a hard time keeping some control of Beth, so he reluctantly asked Lee and Jamie to take care of the youngest two kids Kayce and Kenzie. It probably wasn't smart putting an 18 year old Lee and a 17 year old Jamie in charge of a 7 year old Kayce and a 5 year old Kenzie. The hell these 4 will cause is something no one is expecting. She is the biggest spitfire out of them and is rebeling the most since Evelyn's death. She's cursing at everyone and just causing general mischief. One day, Lee and Jamie can't find her anywhere and panic and go running to John. "Dad, we have no idea where she is she's disappeared." Lee said slightly out of breath from running from the house to one of the far end corrals where John was, John's head whipped up from the horse he was in with. "What do you mean you can't find your sister where was she last?" John said, jumping over the corral. They rush around looking for her when she's just in the bunkhouse sitting with Lloyd talking Lloyd's ear off. John bursts in in a panic. He is scared he lost her like he lost Evelyn, yet here she was as happy as could be talking away. He let out a sigh of relief he didn't blame Jamie or Lee he knew she was getting into trouble cause she didn't know what she was feeling cause of Evelyn's death. He walked over, picking her up and holding her close as he walked out of the bunkhouse. John: Peanut, you can not just go wandering off he said feeling his heart race since he was so worried he saw Lee and Jamie with Kayce so he figured he'd take her for a while
