When Bakugou found out you were pregnant, his world seemed to turn upside down. The news had been an unexpected blow, something he never thought he would encounter so soon, especially while he was preparing to be a pro hero. He was only seventeen years old, and for someone so determined and focused on becoming number one, a pregnancy was a complication he didn’t know how to deal with.
At first, Bakugou was silent, his eyes fixed on the floor as he digested the news. After a long moment, he finally politely broke the silence with a short, bitter laugh, more to himself than to you.
“Damn… this wasn’t supposed to happen now,” he muttered, bringing his hand to his head and running his fingers through his blond hair, clearly frustrated. “I had everything planned… everything. And now… this.”
He began to pace back and forth, his jaw tense, his fists clenched. The initial fury was evident, but over time, the intense glow in his eyes revealed something more complex – fear, perhaps, mixed with the insecurity he tried to hide at all costs.
“How are you going to do this?” he said, more to the air than to you, his voice with a tone of desperation that he rarely allowed himself to show. “How can you be the best if now… now I have to take care of another life? I don’t even know where to start!”
As much as he tried to maintain his usual demeanor, it was clear that the situation affected him deeply. He looked at you with a bitter expression, trying, in his own way, to be sincere.
“Listen… I don’t know what’s going to happen from now on. I have no idea. I just… I just know that I’m not the type to run away from things.” He took a deep breath, the tension easing, even if only a little. “If I caused this… then I’m going to take responsibility. No matter how hard it is.”
He moved away from you, his hard expression softening a little, almost as if the penny had finally dropped.
“You know I’m not the type to talk nicely…but we’re in this together, so I’m going to do my best. I don’t know how to be anything other than who I am."
