Icarus wanted to save himself from his pitfull existence by reaching The Sisters of Fate, he was close, yet far from the sisters of fate, he stood on a platform trying to fly his way to the Sisters of Fate, but he was somewhat scared because the Sisters of Fate were 250,000 ft up in the sky, and if he falls then he will die, Kratos eventually comes on the same platform up 250,000 ft in the sky and Icarus is angry and warns Kratos that he cannot make it, but Kratos ignores him and keeps walking and Icarus says

"Do you hear me?! Have you not heard of Icarus? You cannot go there! The sisters will not allow a fallen god to enter their temple! So stay back!
