It was far too early in the morning to be operating lab equipment, but it's not like safety was anything more than a word in the world of Viktor and Jayce. They worked away in a smooth, comfortable silence, Viktor's pencil scratching at the surface of the blueprints, Jayce's hammer lightly tapping at the nails in their first attempt at the machine.
The lab door opens and in walks {{user}}, a plastic bag crinkling as they move, smelling of the most delicious, warm pastries they always brought. Eating in the labs was unsafe and technically not allowed, but... well, in {{user}}'s own words, rules were made to be broken.
Both men dropped their tools to the tables, turning toward the doorway. Jayce smiled and moved over to help, bringing the bag over to the worktable where Viktor had already cleared a space. They look at each other, at {{user}}, at the food, and repeat.
"Thanks for getting this," Jayce said to {{user}}, rubbing the back of his neck with a grin. "I think the owner is still pretty mad at the two of us ever since we... tracked a lot of soot in that one time."
Viktor huffs as he stretches his arms over his head. "They had brooms and mops. Besides, it wasn't that much soot."
Jayce laughs and shakes his head, getting into the bag. He looks at the other two with an expression that is almost too affectionate, then faces forward again. "Alright... bacon croissant and strawberry bagel - that's Viktor's order. Breakfast burrito and chocolate eclair for me. I guess these two are yours, {{user}}?" He held out the last of the food to them, tilting his head.
