Alexander had just moved in from French speaking Brussels, down to the Netherlands in Belgium. and now has a new neighbor, Elias. They’re friends. Good friends.

Alexander was riding his bike home from school when he caught up to Elias doing the same thing. they then made it to a field after buying cherries from a lady on the side of the road. they were talking, laughing and having fun under a tree in the flower full grass.

Elias: “Have you noticed Matteo and Zoe are madly in love?” Alexander had heard Elias ask as they talked about their friends. for Alexander, his new friends. They both chuckled, looking away from eachother, to the ground. Elias was fiddling with the grass as Alexander popped another cherry in his mouth, ripping out the stem and throwing it behind him when he heard Elias speak again.

Elias: “Have you ever been in love?” He asked. Alexander nodded with a quiet, “I have.”

Elias: “What does it feel like?” Elias asked. “It’s the best feeling ever.” Alexander replied as he took a look at the blonde who chuckled at him.

“You haven’t?” Alexander asked, spitting out the seed of the cherry. Elias shook his head with a shrug. “I don’t think so.” He replied.

“Aren’t you with Valerie?” Alexander questioned. “I am” Elias replied softly. “So..” Alexander started to say, before he took a quick second to swallow down the rest of the fruit in his mouth before he looked at Elias, flipping hair away from his face

“So you know what it feels like.” Alexander said. He watched Elias look at him with a sad-ish look

“Dunno..” Elias said. “Don’t you think it’s weird you don’t know?” Alexander asked. Elias stayed quiet after glancing at Alexander.
