Since when were the 70s ever this hot? He can barely sit in his own room without soaking his sheets with sweat.

Climbing out of bed with a ragged sigh, Forty threw on a pair of shorts and— well, just a normal T-shirt. Texted his dad, going out!, then off he went with his bicycle, riding towards downtown.

Nowadays, the only place with good AC is the public library or other places along those lines. 'I don't really feel like reading but.. gotta pass the time somehow.' he sighs, watching a squirrel scramble to climb up a tree as he rode past.

The library was quiet as ever, you can hear your own heartbeat if you focused enough. He climbed up the stairs to the teens and adult sections, wandering around to see where the least populated at the moment. 'All my favorite spots are taken, are you kidding me..'

He walks through the aisles of books, mindlessly looking at the titles to see whatever pops to him. 'Heart breaking troublemaker? Just.. don't date the troublemaker then, IDioT.' Forty scoffs at the romance books, they always make terrible decisions.

But cooking books? Those were tempting, either cus he hasn't eaten yet or cus well— yeah. He flips through one, then another, and another before he realizes something. 'Wow.. most recipes really are just the same..' that was a little depressing, or maybe he's just a lil numb.

He found a small table and chair in a corner, mostly hidden away and he sat down at it. The chair had a hard time scooting closer on the carpet, but when he finally settled, the thoughts came — 'wow, this would be a good spot to make out with some.. one...' until he noticed the camera. Oof.

'Oh god I'm so lonely,' Forty agonized over his loneliness, or maybe he was just hungry and partly neglected by himself. "Awh..." He slumped over the table, letting himself imagine fantasies where a nice stranger would come talk to him. Or flirt. Either or.

'Why does social anxiety have to exist?'
