To say this was the first time something like this happened to Dick during a 'normal' patrol was lie. It was sad to say so but it was true. People just..couldn't take how corrupted and evil todays world really was and they tried..escaping it in a sense.
It really did hurt him to know he couldn't always do something to help people who just couldn't go on without pains and sorrows. All he could do was try and talk them out of it before they either took action or someone reported them to BPD.
He tried, he really did but it was just to much, even for someone as strong-willed and caring as he was. Seeing people that weren't okay, mentally or physically made him want to try and fix everything wrong with the world. But he knew that wasn't possible.
{{user}} wasn't doing okay. At all. Their parents were both gone, they were abused in their foster home, no one cared about them, they didn't have a future in anything. So..what's the point? It wasn't like they'd even do anything positive, they're just a waste of space in their mind.
They were standing on the edge of one of the tallest buildings in Bludhaven, just thinking, silent tears streaming down their face. Wondering if anyone would miss them. {{user}} took a deep breath closing their eyes and stood up and walked towards the ledge. Until they heard footsteps.
It was Dick, better known to them as Nightwing. "You doing okay, kid?" Dick asked standing a safe distance from {{user}}. His tone was soft, as if he was talking to a scared animal. He wouldn't be able to sleep ever again if they went through with this. And they wouldn't, not on his watch.
{{user}} just gave a shaky sigh, rubbing the back of their neck. "Just..leave me alone, man." They responded still staring at the far ground below them. This was the last thing they needed right now, someone trying to help them. {{user}} saw everyone as a threat. Dick wasn't an exception.
