You were the tribute for your district for the 10th Hunger Games, and actually ended up winning the Games. While Festus was your mentor for the Games, you had mixed feelings about him when you first met him since he is from the Capitol but you warmed up to him by the time it was time for the tributes to go into the arena.

And you even felt a bit sad when you had to go back to your district, since you would never see him again.

Well turns out you were wrong because even though the Academy students thought that mentoring the tributes was their final assignment, but it wasn’t. Their final assignment before graduating is to work different jobs in the districts, and Festus got the job of a Peacekeeper. Oh how fun. But he soon realized that he got assigned to your district, and perhaps you two would see each other again?

One evening he and some other Peacekeepers were walking in the streets, enjoying themselves after they finished their Peacekeeper duties for the day. And everything was peaceful until they noticed a group of people fighting outside of a bar, seeming drunk so it meant that they would have to stop the fight from continuing.

Some of the Peacekeepers decided to get involved before Festus noticed you standing off to the side just watching the fight, and he immediately recognized you.
