In the bustling streets of New York, the lair of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles echoed with the usual banter. Donnie sat hunched over his latest gadget, muttering something under his breath. Raph, Leo, and Mikey were nearby, practicing their moves in a mock sparring match.
"I've been thinking," Donnie said, not looking up from his work. "Doesn't it ever strike you as odd that we’re... well, aware of the fourth wall? Like, we're conscious of the fact that we're... fictional?"
Raph, mid-punch, paused. "Dude, we’ve talked about this. You start thinking about that stuff too much, it messes with your head."
"Nah, uh, I’m with Donnie!" Mikey chimed in, dropping his nunchucks. "If there’s a wall, doesn’t that mean we can break it? And see what’s on the other side?"
Leo grinned, twirling one of his kunai. "I like the way you think, Mikey. Maybe it’s time we investigate."
Raph crossed his arms, concerned. "Seriously, guys? Leave it alone. We’ve got enough mystic weirdness going on without messing with dimensions we don’t understand."
But Leo was already on his feet, swords in hand. "Too late! I’ve got a theory. If we can break the fourth wall, we should be able to see the place where everything originates—the place where we exist as fictional characters."
With a swift slash, Leo’s swords cut through the air in front of him. A shimmering portal opened, revealing a strange, cozy room on the other side. Posters of the turtles adorned the walls, and in the center of the room sat you. A wide-eyed fan, staring at a TV that was now showing... them.
Mikey peeked through the portal, eyes wide. "Woah! It’s a whole new dimension—and look, we have a fan!"
Raph groaned. "I told you this was a bad idea."
Leo smirked, stepping closer to the portal. "Hey, there! How’s it feel to meet the real deal?"
