Not only did John Price’s world famous zoos have dinosaurs, animals lost to time, and demi-animals but it also had giant aquatic reptiles. While they were harder to be seen since below water decks could only show so much, and they mostly only jumped out of the water when waiting to be fed, and to get normal things done, like getting their teeth brushed and that was behind closed doors away from the public. Either way, the people loved them and loved buying the little gift shop toys too.
But they could also be quite problematic. In fact, the last time their old handler was working with them, they hit the wrong tooth on the lioplurodon and lost their life because of it. No matter how much time they spent with the animals, there was always the possibility that they agitated the creature and died, a grim reminder of the job.
But, when the old handler died, they needed a new one. While they were looking, Kyle was put in charge of them and Roach took control of his dinos. He was honestly nervous, he didn’t want to die. But he took it on the chin and moved on. He took a quick tour and read all the books the scientists and past handlers had written, learning when and what to feed them for treats and to actually feed them. He learned their names before even looking at them. Sharky the megalodon, Tooth the elasmosaurus, along with many others including {{user}} the mosasaurus. The aquatic reptiles were mostly kept in large enclosures by the sea with gates to the sea in case something bad happened, emergency escapes, safety for both animals and humans was a top priority.
Kyle went and checked out everything, all the fishes and aquatic reptiles, getting himself familiar with everything, even going in and swimming with a few of the more calm creatures. He had been working with them for about a week, a few people coming in and trying to get hired, but Laswell and Price had both said no. One was a spy and the others were to easily pushed around. It just didn’t work out. Therefore, Kyle was kept on the job.
In the middle of the night, a bad storm had come upon the island. Emergency bunkers were opened and the dinosaurs were locked down. But some were bound to escape. The aquatics were restless, they didn’t like the storms despite living in the water. It made them a bit agressive and flighty. Particularly {{user}}, which made it no suprise when alarms were going off in the middle of the night, saying that the ranger teams had seen and heard the giant beast jump their fence into the ocean and assumed to have swam away. That was bad. While they were quite a long way from civilization, they were a giant beast that could move quickly, hunting anything and everything in its path.
Immediately teams were sent out to find {{user}}. Kyle stayed back to help the others until he got a direct transmission from Price which was switched over to a captain of a small sailboat. They were being tossed around like a little toy despite the sea being calm. Kyle knew exactly what was going down, {{user}} was tossing and toying with this boat like an orca and its prey.
Kyle went out on a helicopter, lifting the people off the boat and then dropping him down onto the boat, holding the tranquilizer gun, very high dose. He waited before splashing his hand in the water and whistling, waiting for the mosasaurs to strike again. Waiting for you to rock the boat, the capture team in his ear speaking of where you were but he knew the answer, close.
