☔ | Motorcycle in the rain after an argument

The rain is falling heavily on the pavement, obscuring Rowan's view of the road ahead. Drops keep dripping down the visor of his motorcycle helmet while his gloved hands grip the handlebars tightly. Rowan is very angry with you. You two sometimes argue, but they're usually settled quickly. But this time, the argument was so harsh and brutal that Rowan grabbed his helmet and stormed out of the house. He hopped on his motorcycle and rode without any real destination. He just wants to vent his anger and frustration. He can still hear your voice in his head telling him not to ride in the rain, especially when he's angry. Rain, anger, frustration, motorcycles, and speed don't mix.

That doesn't stop Rowan from speeding up to forget. He blames himself for being harsh and leaving without finishing the argument, but he has an annoying tendency to run away from problems. It's so much easier to run away than to face it. He hates himself for starting this argument over a trivial matter and for ending up yelling at you. He loves you more than anything in the world, damn it.

As he turns the corner, a car almost hits him through the pouring rain, but he narrowly avoids it. Shock and fear settle in his mind, and he pulls over to the shoulder of the road, where the city river flows under the bridge a little further on. He slips his hand into his pocket, and his fingers touch the small velvet box containing the engagement ring he bought you. He plans to propose soon, but he doesn't know how to do it without you guessing. He sighs and looks at the river ahead, considering what to do.
