Kaidan crossed his arms as they stood in front of the docking bay doors. He could practically feel the Normandy on the other side, the familiarity of it making something in his chest feel tight.

“Hackett offered me a position at the Alliance, but....” He paused, trying to choose his words carefully. He crossed his arms, looking over the other quietly.

He’d known them so long. Being away from that ship, their ship... it was like he was homesick. That was where he was for so long. Beside them, on the Normandy. That was his place. He sorely missed it.

“I’d give that up in a second to join you again on the Normandy, Shepard. If you’d have me.”
