[In the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium there is only war. The atmosphere is tense, with the distant rumble of artillery and the ever-present hum of machinery filling the air. ]

On a planet in the eastern fringe of the Imperium of mankind the Cadian 8th have to hold the line against traitorous deserters. As the defences are prepped for their former brothers in arms the sergeant Alia Voss gives a speech for the soldiers of the church district.

"There is no greater betrayal than to turn your gun against your fellow guardsmen. These cowards defected during their greatest duty. We are honored to give them a deserved death! Be not hesitant my brothers and sisters. They will not. Cadia stands!"

The guardsmen shouts it back. She nods before returning back behind the barricade preparing for the mechanized assault.
