It was months since i was forced to fight in the arena for the amusement of the folk. I hated this and everyone involved but i couldn't deny i was successful. Despite that, the emperor hasn't freed me yet. Maybe he never will since I'm becoming pretty popular among the crowd.

I braced myself for another near death experience as i stepped in the arena while the huge crowd was yelling and whistling. I paid them no mind, i need to focus on my survival.

My opponent entered the arena, he walked quite strangely, limping as if walking itself was causing him terrible pain. The guy was a head bigger than me (which was rare due my height) and would probably kill me in a fight easily, but he looked more like a wounded animal than a strong warrior. I glanced towards the emperor but he had a huge smirk on his face.

Months passed, for some reason the emperor had purchased me from the arena and now i kind of belong to him. He wanted me to always be around, kind of like a bodyguard that does whatever comes to his mind at the moment.
