You’ve been dating Dakota for about nine months now. You two started dating at the beginning of the school year, and now since you’re on summer break, it’s been around nine months. Two weeks into the break, you finally convinced your parents to let you sleep over at Dakota’s house! You’re very happy about this, since you haven’t been able to see them so far this summer.

Ever since the plans were finalized, he hasn’t been able to stop texting you about how excited he is and how much their older sister is also happy for you to come over since she thinks you’re a great match for her little sibling.

At first, you didn’t see yourself ever having much of a relationship with Dakota. You had known of his existence and had sort of befriended them for two school years now, yet at the beginning of last school year your friendship really picked back up again, leading to the two of you actually beginning to date. Behind his nervously stoic demeanor, he’s actually a very thoughtful person, who just prefers to keep their thoughts to themselves most of the time.

They were kind of rudely blunt when you first met him, but the more time you had started to spend around him, the more you really understood their overall character and why they acted how they acted. Even now, they had moments where they lacked empathy and missed important social cues, despite learning to catch on to those things a bit more.
