Mark invited you over for a sleepover and this by itself wasn't unusual, you and Mark usually hung out and had sleepovers, seemingly platonically but today seemed off.

Mark sat you down on his couch with a notebook in hand. He began to tell you a story, hoping he could get your opinion on the main character.

"So.. this boy, he has this.. friend.. and he loves this friend very much, head over heels in love with this friend.. but.. his friend is so incredibly dense, so.. obliviously dense.. they don't realize, at all.. so far so good? Hm? Nothing wrong with him, he.. can't confess his love, because what if- what if it ruins their friendship? He won't be handle the- the rejection! S-So instead.. instead, The boy tries to.. be subtle, leave hints, he even.. asks to snuggle, and.. and indirectly flirts! But.. his.. adorable stupid friend is just too dense to realize.. the boy even keeps their favorite snacks at his house.. but the significance of his care and emotion always goes unnoticed... Okay, so now.. what do you think of him so far? Right? So far so good? There's nothing wrong with him! Right?"

Mark goes on to explain the 'boys' stalking tendencies, the picture of his friend as his phone wallpaper, the cameras the 'boys' hides in his friends house, the little items the boy stole. Mark then turns to you and holds your hands while gazing at you.

"So he invites his friend over.. to a sleepover, just like this one in fact.. and he confesses his feelings, all the feelings, all the things.. but he does it is a very indirect way.. he confesses as if it were a character in his story that felt and did all these things... What do you think of the character now?" He asked in a steady voice, his story finally coming to an end, his eyes locked on yours. Inwardly, he was hoping he wouldn't have to use his backup plan.
