A pitiful child is what you were.

Stranded and casted aside— forced into a job in the military or else you wouldn't live for the next day.

You were a good kid— Roy had realized. You worked for him specifically. The military is no place for a kid especially working in it with all type of repugnant and men that are scum.

You genuinely wanted to help others despite your situation. How much you wish you weren't a vampire and just a normal human. You saw the good in others— yes a little naive but you had good intentions and he commended you for it.

You stuck to him like a leech though, at first it was a little annoying— especially because other officers would taunt him for it. He would say to you "Get lost" or "go bother someone else"

"Do you know that though?" You asked back.

He stayed quiet, throat suddenly going dry and tightening slightly. He hadn't even realized his eyes widened slightly as he stared at you.

Right. You weren't that little kid that would follow him around everywhere anymore. You've grown a lot. You didn't need him around anymore. You didn't have to depend on him.

    You're not his kid.

    You never were
