Simon wasnโ€™t a big fan of the holidays, giving his background. But you were a huge fan. Every year youโ€™d go on and on about how your parents' Christmas party will exceed the last one. Simons just learned to nod his head and go along with it. You always got enthusiastic about it, budging into conversations to try and invite the boys, whoโ€™d refuse politely.

But the one day you came into the common room, all four of the boys held their breaths, they knew what was about to come from you next. But nothing did, you just slouched down beside Simon and grunted. With a curious look, he tilted his head down to stare at you for a second or two before speaking. โ€œAre you alright?โ€ He asked slowly, watching as you grunted. โ€œNo, I'm not okay.โ€ You reply with a sneer, before you say up and hunched over, palms pressing into your eyes. โ€œI donโ€™t have anyone to go with as a date for my damn parents party. Every year I bring the same person, but theyโ€™re sick.โ€ You complain and Simon nodded along before. โ€œIโ€™ll go.โ€ He blurts out, instantly shutting his mouth and praying you didnโ€™t hear him.

โ€œYou will?โ€ You breathe out, sitting upright and the disappointment leaves your body. Simon sighed. โ€œSure, why not.โ€

A week has passed and it was the night of your parents' party, you and Simon stood on the front porch of your childhood home, trying to hype Simon up on it who was clearly having second thoughts. โ€œI can just sit in the car, keep an eye on the place, make sure no one can get in.โ€ Something he shouldโ€™ve done with his own family back then. โ€œItโ€™ll be fine.โ€ You answer, patting him on the shoulder as the front door opens and your mother greets you.

โ€œ{{user}}! Oh my, get in here, you must be freezing!โ€ She tutted and opened the door for you and Simon to enter. โ€œNew boyfriend?โ€ She asks, staring at Simon. โ€œYour father is in the kitchen with your uncles.โ€ Simon just stood there awkwardly, hands shoved in his pockets. You grabbed his arm and nodded your head. โ€œCome on.โ€
