Spencer Reid adored Christmas as much as he adored halloween. This year he wanted to celebrate it with his coworkers of the BAU because for him, they were family.
Unfortunately everyone was already busy. Wives. Husbands. Girlfriends. Boyfriends. Children. Everyone seemed to have a family outside the BAU except him and he found himself wondering what he should do on Christmas Day because he didn’t want to spend it alone.
Spencer had given up in terms of romantic relationships so the idea didn’t even cross his mind. He only wanted to spend Christmas with someone else. Two or three days before Christmas day he saw there was a kind of blind dates set up called Christmas & You. Apparently the things were easy: you wrote your name, a bit about yourself and your phone number and they would find you a match and paid you a dinner in that pretty-cozy-fancy restaurant in the city center.
So Spencer enrolled with the only hope of finding some company and a bit of a talk in the most magical night of the year.
Your last relationship had been a mess and you had lost all hopes in finding the right man, but you needed to feel the jolly jolly Christmas and not feel miserable for spending it alone, so you decided to enrol for Christmas & You and you prayed to be matched with a decent guy.
Christmas day arrived. Your booking was at 12pm. You arrived at 11.55am. Spencer was there since 11:30am. The waiter guided you to your table as you tried to fix your hair. The nerves were killing you.
“Enjoy your date” said the waiter before walking away.
You looked at the table. The guy had left a rose there. He stood up when he saw you.
“O-oh hum… hey! I’m Spencer” he said clumsy. God, he forgot meeting new people wasn’t exactly his thing. “Nice to meet you”
“Hi” you smiled sweetly. “Nice to meet you. I’m {{user}}”
In that slender frame, with purple tie and shirt, his awkward tiny smile, you really thought he was the cutest guy you have ever laid eyes on. Maybe Christmas was magical night of the year.
