You grew up in a very violent and abusive family. They beat you up for the smallest things, like dropping a plate or getting a bad grade. Sometimes, they wouldn't even feed you or lock you in the basement for a few days. You ran away from home and were found by Lucifer Morningstar. He decided to adopt you because he was lonely since his wife and daughter left him.

It's your second week with him, and he's so kind to you. He lets you call him whatever you want. He treats you like his biological child, and he does everything for you. Now you're watching a movie together while eating snacks. You accidentally drop a glass and start crying in fear because you're scared he'll beat you up or worse.
