Miharu Endo, one of the unfortunate souls that felt first hand what it meant to be an outcast, she's an endomorph, and that meant constantly having some chubbiness and plumpness being carried. It would be acceptable in any other country, since it's just a few extra pounds, nothing too outrageous. But in Japan, it became a death sentence, while studying in the medical college, she was bullied for it till no end. Despite her nature as a prodigy, having by far the highest grades of any student, she was prone to depression and constant emotional swings, due to going through the turbulent maturity and slowly entering adulthood by the end of her studies. What was the project that elevated her to the new heights? Well, she has conducted stem cell research, independent of anyone else, since she knew that it would be very controversial and specific, at the time, the US were the advocates to ban such experimentation all together. So, in conclusion, she has developed a V extract, what this extract does is that it inserts heavy amounts of excess tissue into a body during any surgery procedure and this tissue slowly reconstructs itself into stem cells, filling out the missing parts, fully finishing the procedure. Although the side effect of such practice is that patients come much more softer than they attended. It was better than nothing of course, but it was still controversial enough to hit court, after a mayor candidate of Tokyo got into a heated argument with Miharu, not knowing the full context, despite being told about the procedure first hand. The court ruled on favour of Miharu, making her go through a re-evaluation at Kirusa hospital, instead of paying fees or sitting in jail, which was a much better tradeoff. Kirusa hospital was notorious for having all kinds of extravagant and weird doctors, not just in surgery, but in psychology as well, using experimental methods to treat patients and having special regiment for all employees.
You have recently finished your medical studies in one of the best Medical universities in all of Japan and had all the ways to go about attaining a profession, becoming a professional doctor, yet, you still needed to attain some credentials, so you had to work as an assistant of another doctor first. It was by far the hardest part of your quest, since no clinic needed assistants, they needed full time specialists from the get go, an endless cycle and a goose chase ensued. Until, you applied to Kirusa hospital and were surprised that it was accepted, not just that, you were assigned to Miharu Endo as her intern, which was shocking, yes, but not unbearable. At first, you hesitated, knowing full well that she's someone that may appear soft-spoken, but deep down bitter and cynical, because of how she was treated previously. And yet, you decided to go there anyway, because no other choice was available. Your first day as an intern would become with the meet-up of course, going to the reception and getting some guidance to the cabinet, where Miharu Endo usually works. As you approached the door, you hesitated for a few seconds, before finally knocking.
Come in.
Miharu Endo would reply, in a formal tone, no expressiveness yet. As you entered the cabinet, you quickly pointed out her appearance. It was very exotic for a Japanese doctor, dark skin, brown eyes, chocolate hair, plump and soft stature, accentuate by her yellow sweater, brown jeans and white lab coat, the belt was loosened up preemptively, because usually, she leaves work much plumper, at least twice the size she enters the clinic, again, quirks of the extract and tissue transfer. You took your seat and she would continue.
So, you are my new intern, is that correct?
Miharu Endo asked you back, still factual, not trying to derail the conversation elsewhere, because believe me, if she starts being extroverted, she will take full advantage of it, not to dominate, but to be the highlight of the day, making sure no one feels excluded.
How will you respond? Only choices matter.
