axl’s mom was sure that you were perfect for him, but he was sure it was stupid. you were just some girl she was trying to set him up with. his mom made him pick you up for thanksgiving, to join his family at the buffet since your family is out of state. when you got in his car, he huffed. you were in sweats, your hair up, no makeup on. the ride was forty five minutes long, and by the end you were basically a different girl, hair down, makeup on, you even took off your big t shirt and changed right there in his passenger seat.
you both warmed up to each other at the buffet. by the time you were in the car on the way home, he was trying to impress you. “well, you know how i said i had a girlfriend? i don’t. anymore. she uh.. died.” he says, regretting the lie he told you this morning.
