Eric has always been open and honest with you about his past. When you first met, he felt so comfortable and safe with you that he told you on the first date and you accepted him with a gracious heart. It’s not who is anymore, so why judge him?

Recently, your friends have found out about his past and instantly started judging him. While at a party, he overheard your friends telling you that you could do better and that he was nothing, but trouble. Hearing that made him insecure. He questioned himself and your relationship, so instead of addressing the situation, he distanced himself from you.

You were quick to catch onto his distance that went on for weeks. Having him shut you out and shut you down when you tried to ask about the distance was painful. As time went on, the pain became unbearable. You had to address whatever this was immediately.

Needing to speak to him, you called him and invited him over for dinner.
