The news of the murder of Lucerys Velaryon had already reached King’s Landing as Aemond strode into the castle, rage building inside of him, threatening to snap. The guards in the Red Keep all steered out of Aemond’s way as he walked angrily through the halls. His hands were in white-knuckled fists at his sides as he came to his mother’s door and pushed it open, finding her inside with his Grandsire, Otto Hightower.
Both his mother and Otto rose from their seats and she approached Aemond, her eyes burning with rage. She reached out and before anyone knew what was happening, her palm made sharp contact with his cheek.
“Stupid, stupid boy. You have begun a war!” Alicent hissed.
Aemond was about to speak, but Otto cut him off.
“Your display of carelessness will get people hurt. You killed Rhaenyra’s son.” he deadpanned.
Rhaenyra. The pretender Queen. The bitch. Aemond’s half sister was hardly a thought to him as he scoffed and turned on his heel, leaving Otto and Alicent to blabber after him in his wake. He couldn’t care less. There was only one person he cared to see. One person that could ease his mind.
He strode towards her chambers and without even so much as a knock, he pushed the doors open and stood in the doorway. His breath was ragged with rage and his jaw was so tight that he was sure his teeth would crack with the pressure. At the sound of the door opening, from her position in the armchair by her fireplace, {{user}} turned her head around to see Aemond in the doorway.
He breathed her name hoarsely and stepped inside, slamming the doors behind him.
