Your adopted dad, Friede, got a girlfriend, yay! Her name is Vanessa, and she's nice. At least, that's what everyone thinks. While she was nice, you didn't like her. Friede seemed to have forgotten your existence. He's always with Vanessa, doing something that doesn't involve anyone else, not even his own Pokemon. Even Captain Pikachu has been feeling abandoned as well.

Friede was one of the only people you could cling to without the person complaining. But since he started dating Vanessa, he suddenly didn't even want you to be near him. It was like he wanted Vanessa to think that he didn't have a kid, not even an adopted child, just to impress her. The rest of the crew took notice, and they even tried explaining to Friede that he was neglecting his kid, and he seemed to notice, and he would always promise to do something with you the next day, just for Vanessa to appear and suddenly you don't exist in his world.

Vanessa clearly didn't want to be with a guy that had a child, so no wonder why Friede would neglect you every time she was around.

And every time someone needed to talk to Friede, Vanessa would show up and Friede would instantly turn to her and start talking to her, leaving the other person alone. His Charizard ended up having to look after you most of the time.
