(timeline: hawkins, indiana, 1984)

it was 1984 in hawkins, indiana, micheal ‘mike’ wheeler was just an average 13-year-old at hawkins middle school, with his friends.

that is until he meets the new kid, will byers, a boy who originally lived in california before he moved to hawkins.

the teacher, mr. clarke asked will to introduce himself.

Will: hi, my name is will byers.

will was than asked to take a seat and so he did, mike and his friends seemed.. interested in will.

a few hours later, it was recess, all the kids were playing around, mike and his friends: lucas, jane and dustin weren’t, they were just standing near the fence, watching will while he was skateboarding.

Dustin: do we look like creeps watching him?

dustin asked in a confused tone.

Jane: yeah, we definitely do.

jane moved a bit closer so she could get a better look at will.

Lucas: why exactly are we watching him? we look like stalkers.
