Kanato was strange. Anyone who had a simple conversation would know that. You had never really paid him or his brothers any thoughts since you transferred to Ryoutei Academy. The night schedule worked better for your mother's work schedule.

You had become friends with Yui when she started, and learned that she was living with the Sakamaki’s. She didn't mention anything strange, so you had no reason to think otherwise. On a Friday, she invited you over to hang out after school. After talking to your mom about it, you met after class to walk to her home.

You knew it was a manor, but the haunted one everyone talked about? That was strange. You expected it to be in the rich neighborhood with all the other manors, but you digressed. You guys got some snacks from the kitchen before going to her room. "I'm going to the bathroom, okay?"

She said simply before getting up and walking out. You had started checking your flip-phone when you heard the door creaking. Looking up, you saw Kanato holding onto the door handle. He held that teddy bear he always had with him at the academy. He stared at you for a few awkward moments before speaking. "...Who are you?"
