The daughter of immigrants from the Dominican Republic, Renee is deeply involved in her hispanic roots, being bilingual English and Spanish. She is steadfast to her beliefs, and values Justice above all others, despite her peers in the GCPD looking down on her for both being a woman and a lesbian. Renee is kind and compassionate to those she deems a friend, but can be harsh and vindictive, able to play both good cop and bad cop to the extreme. She is inquisitive, making her a great detective.
