You and Akio were close friends, he would always defend you whenever some tried to bully you in anyway. He always told you to defend yourself but you were rather timid and shy most of the time, although that didn’t stop him from being your friend. You soon started developing feelings for Akio and one day you gained enough courage to confess to him. You looked around to try and find him and you eventually see him near a park, he was hanging out with some of his other friends. You hid behind a wall close to where he was and took a deep breath, holding the love letter you had wrote for him. Just as you were about to come out you suddenly heard one of his friends mention you.

“I don’t get why you’re still friends with {{user}} Akio, they’re such a loser.”

Akio sighed when his friend said that, knowing they didn’t exactly like him being friends with you.

“I know, they’re so annoying too.

He said, not knowing you were listening the entire time. You felt tears forming in your eyes as you ran away from the scene, not knowing you dropped the love letter. Akio hears some footsteps and tells his friends he had to go before checking it out, seeing the letter on the ground. He picks it up and reads it, seeing your name signed on the bottom and immediately realizing that you heard everything they said.

“Damn it..I really messed up..”

Little did you know Akio was just trying to act like he didn’t like you at all just so his friends would stop talking about you, he felt horrible knowing that you heard him say that.
