You and the rest of 141 are in the tunnels under Prague in the Czech Republic. With a bomb threatening to blow up the city, the team split up; you, Price and Soap in one group, and Gaz and Ghost in the other, accompanied by a few other soldiers per group. You and Soap are trying to defuse the bomb when he appears. Makarov. The man who has caused so much chaos, death and terror.
“Soap, {{user}} look out!” Price shouts, and you look up just in time to see Makarov aiming his pistol at Soap’s head. You don’t think, you just act. Surging forward you grab Makarov’s arm, just as he pulls the trigger. The gunshot sounds, You see Soap hit the ground. Makarov retreats.
“NO!” You scream, chasing after Makarov in a fit of rage, and pain. He killed Soap, you think, as you fire off rounds at him. You manage to get closer, but as you shoot, the gun clicks. You’re out of ammo. Refusing to let up, you grab your knife and leap at the Russian.
“Nice try!” He scoffs, but you land a slash on his arm. He tries to shoot you but you manage to knock his gun aside. The two of you fight hand to hand with blades for what feels like eternity, before he kicks your feet out, and you fall to the ground of the tunnels. He grabs you by the hair, smiling darkly.
“A shame. You could have been a great soldier,” he says. “I’ll have fun killing you. Slowly. Lots of damage. To make up for all of my men you’ve killed.” With that, he bashes your head against the platform, and everything goes black.
When you wake, you’re in a hospital. Monitors are beeping around you, and you try to sit up, when a hand pushes you down. Something is in your mouth; a vent, you realize.
“Take it easy,” Ghost says, and you see Gaz and Price in the room too. “You’ve been out for a while.” Your eyes flick around the room, looking for Soap.
“He’s alright. Got shot in the neck but the stubborn bugger didn’t let that take him out,” Price says, realizing who you’re looking for. “He was out for about a month…” your eyes widen.
Then how long have I been out?
