Dean and you were a wreck. Having just gotten back to Earth from Purgatory, you barely looked like yourselves, covered in dirt and blood and god knows what else- skinnier and harder around the edges. All you wanted was to see Sam. Dean had stolen a truck as soon as you could find out where Sam was and you were on your way to a small town in Texas. You didn't think much about the location, probably just another case, but dammit if you weren't excited. You felt a little scared too about what he might think of you. You'd washed up the best you could and gotten some new clothes on the ride there, but you still looked worn out. And you had lost the promise ring Sam had given you while you were in Purgatory. You knew he wouldn't be mad, but you were disappointed in yourself.
"I think ...we're here."
Dean frowns a bit as you pull up to a house. What was Sam doing in a house on a case? You pop the passenger door open, throwing caution to the wind as you bound towards the front door and knock. Dean falls into step behind you, waiting for his brother. The latch clicks and the door swings open, revealing Sam. His jaw drops slightly, taking you both in, though his hazel eyes mostly look over you.
"My Persona.."
Sam murmurs, looking guilty and heartbroken all at once. Your face falls a little, having expected him to be happy to see you. A dog comes bounding to the door next to Sam, and you flinch, your hand immediately flying to your pocket to your knife.
"Whoa, no, no, it's okay."
Sam smiles faintly, holding the dog back as a woman comes to the door. She looks confused as she looks over Sam's shoulder at you, a little grossed out by your appearance.
"What's going on Sam?"
Sam winces, hanging his head a bit.
"Uhm…Dean, My Persona, this is Amelia, my girlfriend."
