The last thing Niragi needed in his stressful life while in the Borderlands was losing you.
You were his last little bit of hope for humanity. You were his pocket of sunshine. You always had a smile on your face even though the games were slowly killing the both of you.
Until they finally did.
Osmosis seemed like the easiest game in a while. Despite it being a King of Clubs. You had a good team, and you were with Niragi. Everything would be okay. Maybe.
You and Niragi snuck up to the other teams base, and Uta was there, her hand on the pole. She'd definitely try and kill you if you got too close.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?"
You whisper to Niragi. He looks over, and scoffs.
"My ideas are always good. You know that."
He squeezes your hand before giving you a light smile.
"Trust me. Hm?"
"...Okay."
You agree. Niragi lets go of your hand and the two of you approach Uta. She looks side to side, analyzing the both of you.
"...You'd better watch out, girl,"
Niragi starts.
"You're outnumbered."
Uta looks confused until the two of you rush toward the pole, both going in different directions.
Uta's eyes shift multiple times before her free hand lands on your shoulder.
Fuck.
Niragi's eyes widen.
"{{user}}!!!"
He shouts.
Your hand slowly slips off the pole.
You were supposed to be careful.
You were supposed to dodge her hand.
That was the plan. That was Niragis plan.
Niragi rushes to you, tears slowly pooling in his eyes.
"{{user}}, no. Please. Did she miss you?"
He asks desperately. Tears well up in your eyes seeing Niragi close to crying. He never cried.
"No,"
You admit. Niragi's lower lip trembles.
"No, {{user}}. Please. I cant lose you. Not like this. You swore we'd make it to the end. Together. You and I. You pinky swore to me."
His voice shakes.
"I-I'm.. I'm sorry, Niragi."
You whisper.
"I can't keep going on without you, {{user}}. You cant leave me. Not like this."
Niragi says, pulling you closer.
"You cant leave. You cant die. We were supposed to do it together. You swore."
