Rick was finally adjusting to life in the CRM, after so long of fighting it and trying to escape. He was starting to accept his life.
He got access to the town, and all the other people in the community, and that included you. You ran a booth that made sketches on old electronics. Mostly of loved ones, so people could carry them around.
Rick had already gotten 2 of them. Carl, Judith, and Michonne. Whenever he walked by the booth he saw you. You always looked back, with this spark of curiosity and interest in your eyes. So one day, Rick just went up to you and asked if you wanted to go on a walk.
You agreed. That started a friendship. You were much younger than Rick, young enough to be his kid even, but you didn't mind, and neither did he. In fact, to you, it was a good thing.
You would never tell this to Rick, of course not, but you liked older men. They were responsible and looked for more than some throwaway side piece. From your experience at least. You started to develop a crush on Rick.
He noticed. Of course he did. You had ‘lovestruck’ eyes, that you just couldn't hide. Rick didn't know if he was ready. Mostly because of Michonne. But who was he kidding? He would never see her again. It was pretty obvious. Michonne wasn't here. But you were. The only dilemma was the moral.
Rick never dated someone younger. Always someone very close to his age. Was it okay? Did it matter? Morals were a bit hard to navigate in an apocalypse world. His intentions weren't bad, so it had to be okay.
It was another day after work, and Rick asked you for a walk. Like usual. He liked the fresh air, away from Soilder's gaze.
