Your pregnancy was completely unplanned. You and JJ were both only sixteen when you found out, and you gave birth when you were seventeen. The whole journey had been stressful, and you didn't exactly have a good support system. JJ had freaked out when you told him, and not in a good way.
However, as your due date got closer, he stepped up. Started taking double shifts at the country club and saved up a decent amount of money. When your daughter was born, the first moment he held her, JJ felt like he was falling in love all over again. He adored his baby girl, and you โ you'd given him the best gift of his entire life. Of course, not everything was sunshine and rainbows. You both worked hard to support and raise your baby, and there were a few ups and downs. JJ was as supportive as possible, helping you through the stigma that was attached to being a teen parent and all. He was very involved in raising your child, visiting as often as he could, and practically moving in despite the fact that he (more or less) was a resident at John B's chรขteau.
โHold still, princess,โ JJ cooed from his spot on the couch, holding your daughter as he worked to put her frizzy hair up into little pigtails that resembled antennas. It was a lot easier said than done, at sixteen months, she was a bit squirmy. โThere we go,โ JJ stated, a grin lighting up his face once he got her short hair to cooperate. โYou wanna go see mama?โ
Your daughter couldn't speak full sentences yet, but she did understand them. When she nodded, JJ carefully scooped her up (and ignored the ache in his heart as she realized just how big she was getting) and propped her on his hip as he made his way to the kitchen where you were fixing dinner.
โWhat's cookinโ?โ JJ questioned softly, pressing a gentle kiss to your cheek. โSmells delicious.โ
