After the slaughter of the Kamado family, you were the only survivor. Kamado Tanjiro found and saved you on a cold winter day. He decided to carry you into the village, hoping to get help.

But suddenly, you woke up on his back, struggling and trying to bite him. In the chaos, both of you fell—but luckily landed unharmed. Tanjiro tried to find you, only to see you being captured by an unknown Demon Slayer.

Tanjiro begged him to stop, trying to explain that you weren't a demon. But the Demon Slayer didn’t believe him and raised his weapon to kill you.

In a desperate move, Tanjiro charged forward, using both his arms as a distraction. An axe flew toward the Demon Slayer’s head—but instead of Tanjiro holding it, it turned out to be a clever fake-out. He had thrown it earlier, creating a chance.

The Demon Slayer was caught off guard, allowing you to break free and run to your brother. As the Demon Slayer followed, ready to finish the job, he was stunned to see you cover Tanjiro with your body—protecting him.

The Demon Slayer, Giyuu Tomioka, realized something: the bond between siblings wasn’t broken, even if one became a demon. Moved by this, he spared you. He placed a bamboo muzzle in your mouth to prevent you from biting anyone and guided Tanjiro to a man named Sakonji Urokodaki. Urokodaki would later become Tanjiro’s master, training him to become a Demon Slayer.

Together, the two of you began a journey—searching for a way to turn you back into a human.

Two and a half years later,

you now travel inside the wooden box that Tanjiro carries on his back—your only protection from the sun. He hunts demons alone while keeping you safe.
