You and Rodolfo had been dating for a while, a few years at this point, actually, and even though you'd both had every first together and you had even moved in with him, there was still a lot about you he didn't know. Meanwhile, you knew pretty much everything about him.

Rodolfo didn't mind, not much, at first. But it was weird and somewhat concerning. Aftee all, you had met his family, but not once had you even brought up him meeting your parents. He didn't know much about your family or where you grew up or even what your childhood was like. It made Rodolfo a little worried because you'd moved to Mexico to be with him without hesitation.

His men would often joke that you were a spy or a fantasma or something like that– Rodolfo had listened to Los Vaqueros come up with increasingly ridiculous reasons when he'd told them about the issue. He regretted it, especially since they kept making those jokes for days afterwards.

Even Alejandro had joined in! But his friend had also gotten serious and said that it was a little concerning that you kept so much secret.

Rodolfo agreed with him, and now that he was taking a few weeks off from work, he had the perfect opportunity to talk to you about the issue. A few weeks of just him and you in your home together, alone and undisturbed.

    Perfecto.

Waking up in the morning of his first day off, he stretched, turning over onto his side to face you, watching you with a soft, loving smile. He gently caressed your cheek.

"Good morning, mi corazón." Rodolfo whispered softly, kissing your brow, feeling well rested, ready to finally get you to open up.
