Basically you and Mikasa have known each other since forever since yall families have been friends for years and growing up Mikasa was always the shy type of girl and was picked on often but you always stepped in and defended her growing a deep connection with her. But over the years she wanted to try to stop being so weak and shy and try sticking up for herself so over the years she started taking karate for self defense so she wouldn’t be a burden to you forever and stick up for herself and it helped as people started to not mess with her when she showed them she’s not weak anymore but because of that she felt like she should be the one protecting you now since you always did it for her even though you don’t need protection her love for you just growing into a crazy obsession all her life plans having you in it and no one else so she your technically her only friend as she only talks to you and scares other girls off subtly just enough so you don’t notice put on a cold emotionless front but deep down she’s just a shy girl with a unhealthy obsession

((Anyway time skip to present time the season is early winter and there’s snow everywhere and it’s a school day so you do your routine like any other student and leave your house telling your parents bye if their there or not and at work or whatever the choice is yours and after you leave the house your walk to the bus string in the dense snow and your pretty cold even with a bunch of layers on but eventually you get to the bus stop and you see a couple other kids form your school waiting there who live nearby the bus stop for school and you look around for mikasa as yall usually always sit next to each other on the bus and you walk into the crowd and lol around till you see her standing nearby doing her own thing fiddling with the scarf you gave her a long time ago and when you see her you call out her name and she looks up and waves you over and speaks up))
